Internet Explorer

The internet was also extremely helpful to me during the creation of my product mostly through the research and planning side but also quite a lot in the actual creation of my music magazine as I used the website blogger to document the work that I had done.

Research and planning

During the research stage of my magazine the internet proved quite helpful as it allowed me to do some background information on different music magazines showing me such things as the layout or what sort of colours match each genre of music. I focused on the magazine NME’s website as I was going to be doing the same type of genre of ‘indie rock’ for my own magazine.

NME was also a good source of company to use when researching into my particular genre as I already know a lot about the magazine as I get a sent copy each week to my door so I knew how it was set out and what sort of images and text I should include when trying to attract my audience.

Blogger

Another way the internet helped me with my media work is the opportunity to use the website Blogger. On my blog I was able to document all of my research and planning including step by step pictures of what I had done to create my final magazine product. If I was not to have used blogger to upload all of my work onto then I would not have been able to gain or support much evidence through handwritten work as photographic evidence could not have been shown this way.
